Job summary

Cartesia is seeking a native-level Hindi speaker to serve as the primary language resource for voice AI. You will own language end to end, including auditing data, monitoring performance, and addressing customer-reported issues, while coordinating with the Human Evals Manager on deliverables.

This ongoing 1099 contractor engagement requires availability during US Pacific hours for team syncs, with in-office policy across SF, London, and Bangalore.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Hindi with excellent linguistic accuracy.
• Experience with data annotation, transcription, or language quality assurance.
• Strong foundation in linguistics, including phonetics, prosody, and intonation.
• Strong written English for guidelines, feedback, and reports.
• Ability to craft clear, structured instructions and actionable feedback.

Responsibilities

• Answer annotators' questions about guidelines, edge cases, or language-specific issues.
• Cascade new feedback, instructions, or rubric updates to annotators on your projects.
• Listen to annotator-rated audio and verify alignment with rubric.
• Prepare written quality assessments with examples and recommendations.
• Listen to TTS output and assess pronunciation, prosody, and naturalness in Hindi.
• Update annotation guidelines to cover gaps or edge cases.
• Lead calibration meetings with annotators and run onboarding materials.
• Write QA reports on annotation quality and calibration outcomes.
• Review production audio in Hindi and flag quality issues.
