Job summary

Kansas City Card Arrhythmia Research is seeking a HIM Technician PRN to support clinical operations under HCA Healthcare. The role involves clerical handling of medical releases, chart management, and coding related tasks to help ensure accurate records and efficient care.

The position is PRN, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration within the team, and prior experience with an EHR system is highly valuable for success.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a HIM Tech supporting a physician practice is highly preferred
• Experience using an EHR system is extremely helpful

Responsibilities

• Complete medical releases, injury reports, Workers Comp forms, and monthly referral logs
• Assist with managing patient charts including assembling new patient charts, organizing medical records for subpoenas, and patient chart delivery
• Code workers comp encounter forms and set up workers comp accounts in the system
• Code and charge out x-ray
