Trinity Health’s St. Mary’s Hospital seeks a Health Information Management Tech for a day shift, full-time.

You will monitor and audit EHR documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness, collaborating with care teams to optimize record quality. The role requires auditing metadata for privacy considerations, selecting samples to validate audits, and reviewing MPI duplicates with a focus on compliant information governance and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and health-care experience.
• Knowledge of medical record concepts including chart tracking and release of information.

Location: St. Mary's Hospital

As a “Health Information Management Tech” You Will

• In collaboration with others, monitors and audits EHR documentation.
• Reviews records as scheduled or on ad hoc basis to establish completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation
• As directed, performs audit of metadata to detect potential privacy breeches related to EHR access
• Selects appropriate or defined sample size to support audit validity
• In collaboration with others, monitors and reviews MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and experience in Medical Office, Medical Records or other applicable health care experience.
• Strong knowledge of Medical Record concepts including record completion requirements, chart tracking, and release of information procedures.
• Knowledge of data analysis concepts.
• Experience with Computer skills to include Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook.

• 0.4 FTE (16 hours weekly) up to 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly)
