Job summary

U.S. Urology Partners is seeking a HIM Assistant to assemble patient information into electronic medical records with precision and timeliness. The role focuses on scanning, routing, QA of records, and processing release of information across all USUP locations.

You will collaborate with EMR Specialists to improve processes. The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree and at least 2 years in HIM, with Medent experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HIM.
• Prior use of Medent systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, scan and route incoming documents to correct patient charts and ensure electronic delivery to review parties.
• Maintain patient confidentiality according to policy.
• Create new patient charts and retrieve records for referrals, urgent care, and follow-ups.
• Answer calls and handle record requests for new patients and triage communications.
• Process lab results and input them accurately into the EMR in a timely manner.
