Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of HIM experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• RHIA or RHIT certification is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead HIM staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Oversee day-to-day HIM functions across facilities (medical records, release of information, amendments).
• Drive consistency in HIM tools, processes and best practices across sites.
• Partner with leadership and medical staff to address documentation gaps and improve record completion.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare performance reports and status updates for leadership.
• Support regulatory reviews and accreditation readiness; travel between sites for onsite support.

You will lead staff, manage productivity and quality, and support key HIM functions including documentation integrity, deficiency management, release of information, amendment requests, and medical records operations.
