Job summary

Medix is seeking a results-driven HIM Supervisor to lead daily Health Information operations onsite in Downtown Austin, with travel to Cedar Park. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with occasional weekend coverage as needed.

The supervisor will oversee a team of 15 across two locations, ensure regulatory compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all HIM functions, and serve as a superuser for Health Information systems, supporting system implementations or upgrades.

Qualifications

• RHIA or RHIT certification required.
• Minimum 3 years HIM operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance in HIM.

Job description

We are seeking a results-driven HIM Supervisor to lead and support daily Health Information operations onsite at a facility in Downtown Austin, with travel to Cedar Park. This is a full-time, onsite position (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm), with occasional weekend coverage as needed. The ideal candidate will oversee a team of 15 employees across 2 locations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all HIM functions.

Overview:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health information regulations to ensure departmental compliance with productivity, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a superuser and/or administrator for Health Information technology systems, ensuring functionality, resolving issues, and supporting system implementations or upgrades.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and support new technologies, projects, and initiatives, providing recommendations and follow-through to align with organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Active RHIA or RHIT Certification
• 3+ years HIM Operational experience
• Strong knowledge of HIM functions and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, analytical, and team leadership skills

Pay:

$38-43 per hour depending on experience (negotiable)
