Job summary

Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center in Colorado is seeking a dynamic Director of Health Information Management to lead our HIM strategy across the hospital, clinics, and community living center. This senior role drives data integrity, regulatory compliance, and high-performing HIM operations, influencing patient care and organizational success.

You will direct HIM functions, partner with clinicians, manage the EHR system, and mentor staff while overseeing budgeting and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management with RHIA or RHIT certification.
• Minimum 5 years HIM experience and 3 years supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Meditech, PointClickCare, Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and oversight of the HIM department, aligning goals with strategy.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Conditions of Participation, and accrediting bodies.
• Direct all HIM operations: chart processing, coding, auditing, release of information, transcription, and registry reporting.
