Job summary

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial seeks a leader to oversee the Health Information Management (HIM) team across sites. You will ensure accurate data capture, data mapping, and compliant documentation to support optimal payment outcomes.

The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and strong QA to maintain enterprise objectives. You will drive policy development, training, and ongoing evaluation of data quality, while mentoring staff and leading by example in a high-stakes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience: Required.
• Master's degree: Preferred.
• Five years' of technical healthcare operations experience, including Cerner system experience: Preferred.
• One year leadership experience: Preferred.
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization: Required.
• Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator: Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads the HIM team in daily operations and develops policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with federal/local laws and industry standards.
• Oversees quality data content, mapping, and documentation practices.
• Reviews metrics and conducts QA audits to meet benchmarks.
• Supports implementation and evaluation of EHR systems for data quality.
• Provides coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to team members.
• Manages department budget and resource allocation.
• Leads talent selection and development within the HIM team.
