Job summary

Burnett Medical Center Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time HIM Analyst/Coder to join our HIM department. This role codes discharged patient records for maintenance of indices, reimbursement, research and regulatory compliance using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and related systems, and reviews records for completeness.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, in-house. Benefits include PTO, health, dental, vision, employer-paid life and short-term disability, plus up to a 3% match in the

Qualifications

Minimum two years coding experience.
Completed training in ICD-10-CM and PCS, and CPT-4/HCPCS coding.
CCS or CPC or RHIT certification required.
Experience with electronic medical records, abstraction, and an encoder preferred. Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Codes discharged patient records for maintenance of indices, reimbursement, research and compliance with State and Federal regulations using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other classification systems.
Analyzes and reviews records for completeness.
