Job summary

Burnett Medical Center Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time HIM Analyst/Coder to join our HIM department. This role codes discharged patient records for maintenance of indices, reimbursement, research and regulatory compliance using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and related systems, and reviews records for completeness.

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, in-house. Benefits include PTO, health, dental, vision, employer-paid life and short-term disability, plus up to a 3% match in the

Qualifications

• Minimum two years coding experience.
• Completed training in ICD-10-CM and PCS, and CPT-4/HCPCS coding.
• CCS or CPC or RHIT certification required.
• Experience with electronic medical records, abstraction, and an encoder preferred. Epic experience preferred.

Burnett Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time HIM Analyst/Coder for our HIM department.

SHIFT & HOURS

Full-time, 8am-4:30pm position, M-F;

This is an in-house position.

JOB SUMMARY

Codes discharged patient records for the purpose of maintenance of indices, reimbursement, research and compliance with State and Federal regulations according to diagnosis, operations and procedures using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other classification systems and analyzes and reviews records for completeness.

This is a benefit-eligible position including PTO, health, dental, vision, employer-paid life and employer-paid short-term disability insurance along with up to a 3% match in our 401k retirement plan.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years coding experience
• Completed training in ICD-10-CM and PCS, and CPT-4/HCPCS coding.
• CCS or CPC or RHIT certification required.
• Must demonstrate ability to work with physicians, hospital business office and medical center personnel in a highly professional manner.
• Experience with electronic medical records, abstraction, and an encoder preferred. Epic experience preferred.
