Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a HIL/xIL Development Engineer to support Hardware-in-the-Loop systems, plant model development, and cross-environment integration for ICE, HEV and BEV programs. You will collaborate with software, controls, calibration, and systems engineering to develop, integrate, and troubleshoot simulation environments across MIL, SIL, and HIL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year automotive HiL/HIL experience required.
• Experience in plant and controller modeling, simulation, testing.
• Familiarity with Powertrain ICE/HEV/BEV concepts and ODT tools.
• Knowledge of CAN/LIN, CANoe/CANalyzer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and reduce plant models for HIL applications and maintain a reusable model library.
• Integrate models across MIL, SIL, and HIL environments.
• Configure and commission HIL simulators for vehicle-specific applications.
• Collaborate with software, controls, calibration, and systems engineering on requirements.
• Troubleshoot HIL simulation and integration issues during commissioning.
