Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Glendale, WI, seeks an experienced Automotive Test Engineer to design and implement rigorous HIL validation for BMS ECUs. You will leverage Vector tool chains, AUTOSAR knowledge, and CAPL scripts to ensure robust ECU software and hardware integration.

The role requires hands-on experience with 32-bit MCUs, CANoe/CANalyzer, and virtualization of ECUs, alongside strong familiarity with DOORS/JAMA/JIRA for requirements and test management.

Qualifications

• Experience in Automotive domain with HIL Validation and ASPICE
• Embedded system development for BMS ECU
• ECU virtualization development
• Proficient with requirements management tools (JAMA, DOORS)
• Strong knowledge of Vector tool chain and AUTOSAR
• Experience with CANoe/CANalyzer and CAN bus protocols
• Experience with 32-bit MCUs, drivers, and application/PLSW
• Familiar with debugging and test automation tools

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test cases for automotive systems including steering and braking
• Create and execute HiL tests using Vector tools and CAPL scripting
• Work with CAN/LIN and diagnostic protocols (UDS ISO-14229)
• Utilize DOORS/JAMA/JIRA for requirements and test management
• Collaborate on ECU virtualization and AUTOSAR related tasks
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware-in-the-loop setups (dSPACE HiL)

Roles & Responsibilities

Test Case Development

Develop comprehensive test cases for Automotive systems, with a focus on Steering and Braking systems.

Ensure test cases cover functional, performance, and reliability aspects of the systems.

• Experience in Hardware in Loop (HiL):
• Good knowledge of Vector Canoe, VT System, Vector Tool Chain
• Good knowledge of Communication protocols like CAN, LIN.
• Good knowledge of Diagnostic protocols like UDS ISO-14229
• Leverage CAPL programming language to develop test scripts and automation tools.
• Good knowledge of Management Tools like DOORS, JIRA, GIT
• Good knowledge of Test Process and Methodologies. ISTQB Foundation Level is preferred.
• Good debugging / troubleshooting and electronic laboratory skills
• Possess knowledge and experience with dSPACE HiL setups for simulation and testing.

Salary Range

Salary Range : $110,000 to $120,000 Per Annum
