Job summary

Hiland Dairy Foods Company in Conroe, TX is seeking a Full Time Operative for the Utility Relief role. The position involves moving around the production floor, operating equipment to ensure a quality product is packaged, prepared, and loaded for delivery to customers.

You will relieve Operator duties, follow GMP and SOPs, and adhere to safety policies. Applicants must be able to stand, lift, withstand temperature extremes, and work outside conditions as needed.

The Utility Relief moves around the production floor, performing various production operation duties to relieve primary operators during lunches, breaks, or vacations.

Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for operating equipment and processes to ensure a quality product is packaged, prepared, and loaded for delivery to customers in a safe manner.
• Relieves Operator duties during regular schedules or as a backup for scheduled breaks and/or vacation periods.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
• All other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand/walk on your feet constantly during your shift.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 to 75 lbs.
• Ability to constantly pull up to 270 lbs. with a pull rod while walking backward.
• Must be able to work outside and be exposed to the outside weather/temperature conditions.
• Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of your surroundings.
• Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
• Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach above and below the shoulder.
• Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.
