Job summary

Amentum seeks a HiL-focused engineer in Detroit to develop and integrate HiL applications for vehicle and system testing. You will architect, implement, and improve HiL test setups and automation, collaborating with Ford engineers to ensure data integrity and robust test platforms.

Applicants should have BS in Engineering, strong skills with dSPACE, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, LabVIEW, and electronics knowledge including signal conditioning. Elevating test capabilities is a key goal of this role.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering is required.
• Experience with dSPACE, Vector CANoe / CANalyzer, LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of electronics and signal conditioning (transducers, accelerometers).
• Excellent leadership, communications and interpersonal skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop HiL applications to support vehicle, system and sub-system testing.
• Manage design, evaluation, selection, and integration of HiL technologies.
• Participate in HiL architecture and design decisions.
• Upgrade and diagnose test stand infrastructure as required.
• Provide expert knowledge for HiL infrastructure integration.
• Integrate HiL control strategies into existing test systems.
• Collaborate with Ford engineers to ensure support and data integrity.
• Develop test automation for setup, execution, data collection, reporting.
