Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an engineer to design and develop test scripts for DVP&R, validate HIL properties, and expand test coverage for automotive powertrain and embedded control systems.

You will work with ECU schematics, real-time OS, and model-based tools like MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, CANoe/INCA, ETAS, and tools such as ControlDesk and AutomationDesk, in an Agile team environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited University.
Experience in powertrain software development or a highly related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge in Programming Languages specifically C#, C++, Python, and Java Script.
Hardware background with the ability to read ECU schematics and identify HW-SW integration issues.
Experience with ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
Familiarity with On-Board Diagnostics in passenger automobiles.
Experience with ETAS, INCA, CANoe, CANAnalyzer.
Understanding of Electrified Powertrain subsystems and internal combustion engines/vehicle subsystems.
Model Based development using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow for embedded control systems.
Embedded C/C++ software in RTOS environments.
Experience with Matlab/Simulink / TargetLink / Embedded Coder (MBSD).
Experience implementing Embedded Real-Time Controls and Software solutions.
Ability to work across challenges in multidisciplinary teams and in an Agile framework.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing all test scripts outlined in the DVP&R, managing multiple versions and variants of scripts while ensuring traceability to requirements.
Ensures HIL test properties / test scripts properly validate the appropriate functions.
Ensures all test properties are correctly configured for valid test results.
Improves testing coverage by developing new tests to enhance coverage.
