Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Industrial Automation.
• 6+ years in systems integration, HIL testing, or systems validation.
• HIL expertise with real-time simulation platforms (RTDS, OPAL-RT).
• Ability to interface with PLCs, BMS, firmware, and SCADA in a closed-loop test environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build HIL test environments that replicate realistic datacenter loading scenarios.
• Own the integration layer between physical hardware and software simulations ensuring bidirectional signal fidelity.
• Develop and execute integration test plans covering functional verification, stress testing, fault injection, and edge-case scenarios.
• Define and maintain Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and acceptance criteria for integrated system behavior.
• Automate HIL test workflows using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent tools.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on integration failures and produce data-backed reports.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align on integration requirements and deployment readiness criteria.
• Build and maintain simulation-hardware co-validation frameworks for high-confidence validation packages.
• Develop institutional HIL standards for scalable test methodologies across programs.
• Support commissioning and operational readiness by translating findings into deployment guidance.
