Job summary

Harvey Nash seeks an embedded software validation engineer in Illinois to support the Product Group commitments for 2026–2027. The role focuses on expanding HIL/SIL verification capacity and delivering robust validation tests for embedded control software with dSPACE and MATLAB/Simulink, plus automation tooling.

Position's Contributions to Work Group:

• Provide additional testing support for the team

Reason/motivation for request:

• Additional engineering support is needed to execute and deliver 2026 and 2027 Product Group commitments. This role will help expand HIL, SIL verification and validation capacity to meet program milestones and quality objectives.

Typical task breakdown:

• 40% HIL/SIL test development and execution, 30% test automation and scripting, 20% issue investigation and debugging, 10% team collaboration, reviews, and planning.
• Develop, execute, and maintain validation tests for embedded control software using dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and automation tools

Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience: Minimum of 2-4 years experience
• Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering or relevant field required.

Additional Technical Skills (Required)

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, version control, and test automation framework development.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, perform hardware setup, and troubleshoot HIL/SIL test environments.
• Familiarity with diagnostics, fault injection, and validation reporting tools.
