Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an experienced propulsion systems engineer for its automotive projects in the United States. The role focuses on ICE and hybrid/BEV powertrains, CAN/UDS networks, and model-based development with MATLAB/Simulink.

You will work with cross-functional teams, use Vector tools, dSPACE, INCA, and Provetech, and contribute to test scripts, fault analysis, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in propulsion system powertrain for ICE, hybrid, BEV and PHEV.
• Proficient with dSPACE simulators, ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
• Strong knowledge of CAN, LIN, UDS and Ethernet protocols.
• Experience in test case/script design, development and testing.
• Familiarity with .dbc, .sdf, ARXMLs and vehicle architecture definitions.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Proficient in Python scripting.
• Experience in root cause analysis, troubleshooting and documenting resolutions.
• Collaborates well with cross-functional teams internal and external.
• Experience with Vector tools, INCA and Provetech.
• Knowledge of FIU/BOB, oscilloscopes, multimeters, actuators and solenoids is a plus.
• Knowledge of requirement management tools (Polarion/PTC/ Doors/ Jama).
• Knowledge of MATLAB plant models is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with ECM, TCM, HCP, PIM, MCP, BPCM, IDCM is a plus.
• Experience in the Automotive domain and electrification vehicle level systems.

• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Should have experience in scripting languages such as Python.
• Should have experience in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, resolutions and documentations.
• Good working experience with cross functional team both internal and external.
• Should have good working experience in Vector tools, INCA and Provetech.
• Should have knowledge in fault insertion unit (FIU/BOB), oscilloscopes, multimeters, actuators, solenoids and etc.
• Should have good knowledge and working experience in requirement management tools (e.g Polarion/PTC/ Doors/Jama).
