Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Michigan seeks an experienced HIL & Commissioning Engineer to develop, configure, and maintain HIL test benches for ECU validation on automotive platforms.

The role covers HIL testing for powertrain, ADAS, body, chassis, and infotainment ECUs, plus system bring-up, debugging hardware and software, and test automation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering.
• Strong experience with HIL systems (dSPACE, NI, Vector, ETAS, or similar).
• Hands-on experience in ECU commissioning and integration.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet.
• Experience with test automation tools (Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink, TestStand, CANoe).
• Good understanding of ECU architecture, sensors, and actuators.
• Experience in debugging hardware and software issues.
