Job summary

Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is seeking passionate fitness professionals to teach energizing HIIT/Strength group classes, including the Thursday 6:30am slot. You will create a safe, educational, and enjoyable environment aligned with the YMCA’s core values.

The role involves leading classes, engaging with members to support healthy living, and promoting YMCA programs. Starting pay is $20.25 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for career development.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, fun, safe and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
• Engage in active listening with members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA. Have knowledge of class schedules and other departments/services at the YMCA.
