Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and ensure comfort.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer questions.
• Prepare sterilized equipment for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and record medical histories.
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories.
• Evaluate gum disease signs, cavities and infection.
• Remove plaque, calculus and apply fluoride treatments.
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques.
• Take intraoral scans/ITERO and x-rays.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and office policies.
• Perform scaling/root planning and sealants.
• Proficient in Dentrix software.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams and procedures. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has at least two years of experience. • Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
• Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
• Remove plaque, calculus and apply fluoride treatments
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques
• Take intraoral scans/ITERO
• Take x-rays
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
• Be able to do Scaling and Root Planning and Sealants
• Be proficient in Dentrix software

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation,
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure
• At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
