Vsmile Dental is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in New Jersey. In this role you will screen patients, perform cleanings, and assist dentists with exams and procedures. The ideal candidate holds an active state license and has 1–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a CODA-accredited program; Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred.
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure in good standing.
• 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience preferred.
• Strong HIPAA knowledge and safety guidelines compliance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, create a comfortable environment.
• Explain dental care plans and answer questions.
• Prep sterilized equipment for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and record medical histories.
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral histories.
• Evaluate for gum disease, cavities, and infection.
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments.
• Instruct on good oral hygiene; take dental impressions.
• Take x-rays; assist dentist during procedures.
• Adhere to health, safety regulations and office policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure
• At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
