Litchfield Hills Family Dental Prac is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our caring team. You will provide patient-focused dental hygiene, screen patients, perform cleanings, and assist dentists with exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate holds state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with 1–2 years of experience, is friendly, and committed to delivering a fantastic dental experience for every patient.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene required (CODA-accredited).
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure.
• 1–2 years of experience in dental hygiene recommended.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and dental safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and ensure comfort.
• Explain dental care plans and address patient questions.
• Prepare sterilized equipment for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and document medical histories accurately.
• Perform dental cleanings and contribute to exams with dentists.
• Assist with radiographs and intraoral scans.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, and assist the dentists with exams and procedures. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has at least two years of experience. If you're friendly, outgoing, and committed to creating a fantastic dental experience, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
• Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
• Remove plaque, calculus and apply fluoride treatments
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques
• Take intraoral scans/ITERO
• Take x-rays
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
• Be able to do Scaling and Root Planning and Sealants
• Be proficient in Dentrix software

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation,
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure
• At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
