Job summary

DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking a Highway Operations Technician 4 to perform high-level highway sign operations, including fabrication, ordering, scheduling crews, and staff training.

The role requires leading crew activities, ensuring safe work zones, and using ERS (511) for traffic restrictions. A valid Class A CDL with endorsements is required, with pre-employment and E-Verify compliance noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of: PeCoS entry, FIS entry, Federal, State and agency laws, procedures., Sign materials
• Extruded and flat sheet sign repair knowledge and experience
• Ability to lead and train crews and communicate effectively with staff and supervision

Responsibilities

• Directs work for themselves, crew and vendors to maintain, install and fabricate roadway signs.
• Ensures traffic control is adequate for work zones and communicates restrictions.
• Operates and trains others on motorized vehicles and equipment used in sign fabrication and maintenance.
