Job summary

HDR in the United States, Missouri, Kansas City, is seeking a Highway EIT/Coordinator to support detailed roadway design projects and prepare construction estimates. You will collaborate with project engineers on alignment, geometrics, drainage and reporting tasks in a team-driven, employee-owned culture.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering and may pursue EIT certification; proficiency with MicroStation/AutoCAD and related Bentley/Autodesk tools is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field.
  • Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.
  • EIT certification or pursuing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
  • Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates
  • Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations
  • Perform other duties as needed

Highway EIT/Coordinator

We'll count on you to:

  • Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects
  • Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates
  • Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
