Qualifications

• One year of experience performing basic highway maintenance work.
• One year of experience as a Highway Maintenance Worker I in Nevada State service.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty highway maintenance equipment.
• Install long line, solid and skip pavement markings and maintain traffic controls.
• Respond to emergencies, plow snow, apply anti-icing materials, and support winter maintenance.
• Maintain and repair roadway signs, guardrails, and drainage structures.
• Maintain landscaped areas and the highway right-of-way; assist in overviews of safety requirements.
