Qualifications

• Valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
• CDL Class A license must be obtained within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Flag traffic for work zones.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as picking up litter/debris, cleaning curb and gutter, cleaning bridges, assist with paving drives and patching.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of traffic signs and pavement markings.
• Operate power tools such as chain saws, pole saws, weed eaters, augers and jackhammers as necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
• Operate standard dump trucks, hauling materials and equipment.
• Use hand tools such as shovel, bush axe, axe and hammer performing required tasks.
• Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations may include being available for extended working hours or 12-hour shifts.
• May be required to work outside of normal scheduled work week, especially during inclement weather or emergencies.
