Job summary

CDOT in Bayfield, Colorado seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist with CDL Class A/B and hands-on repair experience. You will work in a team, respond to weather emergencies, and perform maintenance duties such as snow plowing, debris removal, and road repairs.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with no restriction on air brakes.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow.
• Operating heavy equipment such as tandem dump truck, loader, and tractor mower.
• Mowing grass and weeds.
• Removing debris from roadways and culverts.
• Installing and repairing guardrails, signs, and lighting.
• Filling potholes and road cracks.
• Setting out signs and cones for traffic control.
• Maintaining equipment and performing minor repairs.
• Following safety guidance and wearing PPE.
