Highway Maintenance Technician-Mowing Equipment Operator

Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians-Mowing Equipment Operators in the Kissimmee, FL area. Responsibilities include highway maintenance tasks, adhering to regulations, and working as part of a team. Flexibility to work on-call and nights is required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform highway mowing operations with various equipment including small machines, large machines, tractors, and mowing decks.
• Weed eating and litter removal.

Preferred Experience:

• Roadway maintenance experience.
• Small machine mowing and weed control.
• MOT Certifications.

Qualifications:

• Maintain company standards for background checks.
• Knowledge of local driving rules.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Proper safety equipment use.
• Ability to adapt to technology and use smartphones.
• Ability to work safely in various environmental conditions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and operate hand/power tools.

Schedule: Full-time, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Salary: $18-20+ per hour based on experience and equipment knowledge.
