Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks in the Orlando, FL area in compliance with all regulations and company policies.

The role involves working in a team on mowing operations, adapting to an on-call schedule, and handling equipment from small machines to tractors, including weed control and litter removal. A clean driving record and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Orlando, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work as a part of a team performing a variety of tasks related to highway mowing operations.
• MUST be flexible and able to participate in the project's highway maintenance on-call rotationwhen necessary.
• Mowing tasksinclude, but not limited to:
• Small machine, large machine, tractors, 15' mowing decks
• Weed eating
• Litter removal
• Side by side, trash pickers/reacher

Clean driving record is essential Must pass criminal background check.

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Small machine mowing
• Mowing/weed control
• MOT Certifications

Qualifications

• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Salary

$16-$20/hr Depends on experience and certifications.

Schedule

Full time, Must be flexible and available to work on-call when required.
