You will plan, budget, schedule, and supervise activities while fostering leadership, training, and accountability across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Independent Leadership demonstrated ability to lead and supervise multiple highway maintenance crews across shifts.
• Operational & Administrative experience in tracking expenditures and inventory.
• Safety Awareness: promote a safety-first culture with strong safety standards and practices.
• Clear, concise communication with internal staff, management, other agencies, and the public.
• Ability to operate and oversee heavy equipment used in daily maintenance and emergency response.
• Growth Mindset: commitment to learning and development.
• Service-Oriented: prioritize needs of others and teamwork.
• CDL Class A license required and must be maintained.

Responsabilités

• Supervise highway maintenance crews performing daily maintenance and operations on roadways and structures.
• Plan, schedule, supervise, and budget maintenance activities for Kelso and St. Helens crews.
• Conduct employment interviews and recommend actions related to employment.
• Oversee employee development and performance evaluations.
• Budget and plan using MAP System to develop annual maintenance plan.
• Prepare records and reports on work, expenditures, and emergencies with county/city agencies.
• Lead monthly crew safety and training meetings.
• Review access permits and franchise applications; coordinate approvals.
