Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking a Highway Maintenance Worker 3 to lead a crew responsible for safe, reliable travel on State Highways. This outdoors role requires coordinating equipment, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to safety standards in all weather conditions.

You will perform pavement, drainage, and traffic control tasks, including snow and ice operations, while maintaining accurate records and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Formación

• Commitment to safety and high‑quality highway maintenance.
• Valid Class A CDL with N endorsement and DOT medical certificate.
• Possession of a Traffic Control/Flagging card or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a crew in day‑to‑day highway maintenance operations for state highways.
• Mentor staff in equipment use, safety, and public relations.
• Coordinate equipment and personnel; manage parts purchases and third‑party estimates.
• Maintain records and report maintenance activity in computerized systems.
• Lead snow/ice control and set up traffic control per MUTCD during operations.
