Washington County is seeking a full-time Highway Laborer/Operator/Patrol Person for the Slinger shop to maintain state and county highways, patrol roads, remove debris, and operate snow removal equipment during winter.

Qualifications

• Experience operating highway maintenance equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy manual duties outdoors in varying conditions.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for snow removal and salting.
• Repair roads and bridges; pave and shoulder roads.
• Inspect roadsides and patrol for debris and hazards.
• Maintain guardrails, signs, and snow fences.
• Complete daily activity reports and record-keeping.
• Respond to emergencies when required.
