Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Transportation is currently seeking an Associate Highway Maintenance Worker for the Estancia Patrol. This role focuses on operating medium to heavy equipment and performing highway maintenance to ensure safety for the traveling public.

You will operate dump trucks, loaders, tractors, and other equipment, perform snow removal, respond to emergencies, and use hand tools. A valid Class B CDL is required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in roadway maintenance activities.
• Basic traffic control experience.
• Operating medium to heavy-duty equipment.
• Using various hand tools.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium to heavy-duty equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, tractors, and rollers to maintain highways.
• Perform snow removal, respond to emergencies, remove trash and dead animals from Right-of-Way, and conduct routine maintenance.
