Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Valid CDL Class A with tanker endorsement, interstate status.
• Five years of experience performing roadway, roadside, bridge or sign maintenance or pavement marking responsibilities.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Leads maintenance crews, sets up work zones and supervises field activities.
• Operates highway maintenance equipment such as tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, graders and snowplows.
• Oversees material usage and may prepare supply, inventory, and building reports; assists with records.
• Oversees routine maintenance of equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Inspects bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs and progress.
