The Arkansas Department of Transportation is seeking a Maintenance Aide I to operate a single-axle dump truck and mowing equipment and perform highway maintenance under general supervision.

Responsibilities include mowing, landscape work, using power tools, loading materials, flagging traffic, and assisting with work zones; CDL requirements apply with a scheduled path to full CDL within 180 days. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently for communication and documentation.
• Experience operating a truck, tractor or heavy equipment preferred.
• Must pass the CDL written and driving tests within the specified timeframes.

Responsabilités

• Operate a single-axle dump truck and mowing tractors as assigned.
• Perform highway maintenance, landscape work and minor repairs with hand and power tools.
• Load/unload materials and assist with traffic control in work zones.
• Respond to emergencies and assist crew with signs, cones and safety setup.
• Maintain equipment and comply with safety and DOT regulations.
