Job summary

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
• License/Certification: Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A (CDL-A) with appropriate tank endorsement.
• MVR must meet minimum standards; pre-employment drug screen required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on an intermittent basis.

Responsibilities

• Operates and troubleshoots complex highway maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Maintains assigned equipment and performs repairs and adjustments.
• Plows and spreads abrasives during winter conditions as needed.
• Supervises small crews and entry-level workers to ensure safety and proper methods.
• Responds to traffic emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
