Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a Highway Electrician Helper to perform highway electrical maintenance and lighting repairs in the Dallas – Fort Worth area, based in Joshua, TX.

The role requires experience with roadway lighting systems, safety compliance, and the ability to respond to after-hours emergencies. The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of highway lighting experience, a Journeyman Electrician License (or willingness to obtain within a year), and a CDL (Air Brakes).

Qualifications

• 1–5 years prior highway lighting electrical experience.
• CDL-A or B license with air brakes endorsement is preferred.
• Experience in installation and maintenance of highway lighting (light poles and high mast).
• Possess a valid Journeyman Electrician License or willingness to obtain within 1 year.
• MOT certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair roadway lighting and facilities.
• Install and service wiring, circuits, switches, relays, lighting and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair roadway outages.
• Perform routine electrical maintenance and lamp replacements.
• Work from bucket trucks and ladders; ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Respond to 24/7 emergency calls with supervisor coordination.
• Document hours and complete maintenance logs.
