Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain light, medium and heavy-duty highway equipment for maintenance and construction tasks.
• Perform emergency roadway operations including snow removal and accident clean-up with traffic control.
• Implement proper work site protection and follow MUTCD for detours and lane closures.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain inventory records and use hand and power tools to complete assignments.
• Follow OSHA and VDOT safety policies and participate as a team member.
