Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to support our Transportation - Highway group in Jacksonville, FL. You will assist in planning and design for roadway projects while learning from senior engineers.

Qualified candidates are pursuing an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree and can communicate effectively, work independently, and collaborate with teams on multiple tasks. ABET accreditation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and design on transportation-related projects.

We are currently seeking an Intern to work with our Transportation - Highway group in our Jacksonville, FL office.

Responsibilities

The Highway Engineer Intern will participate in the planning and design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support senior engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of roadway design.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program


• Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Ability to handle multiple assignments


• Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation preferred


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
