State of Indiana, via INDOT, seeks an Engineer Trainee for the Greenfield District. No PE license required at hire if you hold an Engineering degree and are pursuing PE. Salary starts around $75,010, with promotional opportunities as licensure is obtained.

You will support design, planning, and project management activities, gain broad experience across departments, and contribute to highway and transportation projects in Indiana.

Formación

• Valid Indiana PE license required; EIT/FE pursuing PE considered for lower classification.
• Engineering degree required; PE licensure path supported.
• Experience with CAD and design drafting preferred.
• Familiar with IDM, IMUTCD, AASHTO standards and specs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for collaboration across departments.

Responsabilidades

• Generate detailed engineering drawings using Computer-Aided Design software and other design tools.
• Interpret and apply design standards throughout the project development process.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project components.
• Incorporate contract requirements and secure necessary clearances from coordinating groups at the project level.
• Collaborate with various engineering departments at INDOT for assistance with design details and plans.
• Assist in the development of programs, research plans, and technical guidelines.
