Job summary

TPD, ranked the #4 Large Employer in America, is seeking dynamic Engineers at all levels to join their Access Design team in Newark, Delaware. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and has at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in outside contact and communication for projects.
• Conduct capital improvement planning and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on design tasks.
• Obtain and analyze Highway Occupancy Permit Design Criteria.
• Prepare reports, specifications, plans, and designs.
• Monitor construction site progress as an on-site project representative.

Skills

Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD or OpenRoad)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong work ethic

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Duties and Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Assisting in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Capital improvement planning including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutions
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic and signal operations analysis
• Obtaining, analyzing, PennDOT’s Highway Occupancy Permit Design Criteria/procedure HOP's·
• Assisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
• Reviewing construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents
• Serving as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
• EIT, FE, or PE (not required, but preferred)
• Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD or OpenRoad)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
