Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a dynamic Engineer to join their Access Design team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities include project communication, capital planning, and working with multi-disciplinary teams. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• EIT, FE, or PE is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in outside contact and communication for specific projects.
• Conduct capital improvement planning including cost estimates.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on design tasks.
• Review construction site to monitor progress.

Our Access Design team is seeking a strong Engineer to join the team.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in outside contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Capital improvement planning including providing cost estimates, feasibility studies, and developing recommendations and innovative solutions
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, and traffic and signal operations analysis
• Obtaining, analyzing, PennDOT’s Highway Occupancy Permit Design Criteria/procedure HOP's ·
• Assisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
• Reviewing construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents
• Serving as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
• EIT, FE, or PE (not required, but preferred)
• Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD or OpenRoad)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
