Job summary

SEH is seeking a civil engineer to join its highway design team in Indiana. The role involves supporting planning, design, and construction of municipal and state highway projects, while collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver innovative solutions.

Ideal candidates have INDOT project experience and can manage multiple projects with deadlines, in a flexible work setup that may include hybrid arrangements in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Experience in the design and construction of municipal, or state highway or transportation projects.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Experience on INDOT projects.

Responsibilities

• Join our highway design team to support the planning, design, and construction of a variety of projects.
• Develop creative solutions to complex challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals.
• Collaborate with multi‑discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions.
• Build and strengthen client relationships in collaboration with experienced project managers.

This Opportunity

• This position can be located in the Munster, IN area, or surrounding areas or can be Remote in Indiana. This opportunity is also open to candidates wanting to work Hybrid.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Experience in the design and construction of municipal, or state highway or transportation projects
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Experience on INDot Projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing multi‑discipline infrastructure projects
• Located in Indiana
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on‑site inspections/visits, etc

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $95,000 and $110,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
