Job summary

HDR is seeking a Highway EIT/Coordinator in Madison, Wisconsin. You’ll work with project engineers on detailed roadway design, alignments, drainage, plans and estimates, and assist with technical reports and calculations. The role supports HDR’s employee-owned culture and career progression toward EIT attainment.

You’ll contribute to urban and rural projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help deliver safe, sustainable transportation solutions for communities in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates.
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Highway EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
• Proficient in Civil3D
• Familiar with WisDOT Procedures
