C&S Companies in Orlando, FL is seeking a Highway Designer to join our transportation team. You will support planning and design of roadway, intersection, and multimodal improvements for public and private clients, contributing to mobility, safety, constructability, and community needs.

The role emphasizes creating clear construction documents, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and applying design criteria under the guidance of project engineers and managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting roadway, highway, intersection, or transportation design projects.
• Proficiency with FDOT ORD and AutoCAD software.
• Familiarity with plan production, quantity development, and construction document coordination.
• Knowledge of roadway design fundamentals and applicable criteria.
• Engineer Intern certification or progress toward licensure preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare roadway design documents including alignments, sections, and improvements.
• Develop design plans, calculations, quantities, and specifications.
• Use 3D modeling tools to support roadway design and doc production.
• Assist with roadway rehabilitation, widening, and safety projects.
• Coordinate design activities with in-house and external disciplines.
• Participate in field reviews, data collection, and design meetings.
• Apply client, local, state, and federal design criteria to deliverables.
• Contribute to complete construction documents and project files.
• Maintain organized project files and communicate progress to the team.
