Branch's Civil Division is seeking a General Laborer to perform manual labor on heavy highway construction projects. The role requires reliability and the ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.

Duties include unloading materials, preparing sites, directing traffic, operating tools, and following safety procedures. This is a full-time, on-site position with compensation details discussed based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and work ethic.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flagger Certification.
• Check grade for grading operations and utility work.
• Safely operate roller, street sweeper and broom tractor.
• Some brick and mortar work for utility installations.

Responsibilities

• Unload tools, prepare materials, stack materials, and set up equipment.
• Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor.
• Direct traffic safely around the site.
• Use construction tools to complete daily tasks.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and report violations.
• Assist in checking grade with levels and a ruler.
• Safely operate pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, and other tools.
• Load/unload construction supplies from trucks; move dirt and expose utilities.
• Clean debris and hazardous materials; ensure tools are stored properly.
