Branch Civil is seeking a dependable General Laborer for our heavy highway construction projects. The role involves diverse manual tasks, operating a range of tools, and assisting with site preparation and safety compliance. Ideal candidates can work with minimal supervision while following directions closely.

The position requires the ability to work in teams, maintain safety standards, and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and manual labor in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and work ethic.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flagger Certification.
• Check grade for grading operations and utility work.
• Safely operate roller, street sweeper, and broom tractor.

Responsibilities

• Unload tools, prepare site materials, stack materials and set up equipment.
• Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor.
• Direct traffic safely around the site.
• Use construction tools and maintain equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report violations.
• Assist in checking grade with levels and ruler.
• Load and unload construction supplies from trucks and operate equipment as needed.
• Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, installing controls, exposing utilities.
• Clean debris and hazardous materials.
