The State of Nebraska, Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT), invites students to apply for a Summer Engineering Intern position in District 4, Kearney. This internship offers hands-on highway construction experience, supervised field work, and exposure to project documentation and CAD tools.

Interns will assist with inspection, data entry, and materials testing, using Windows, Excel, and CAD software while gaining insight into engineering workflows and safety practices.

Competenze

• Minimum qualifications: three-fourths time student in good standing pursuing an engineering-related degree.
• Preferred qualifications: Civil Engineering student with relevant coursework.
• Other: must have a valid driver’s license and reliable attendance.

Mansioni

• Assist in inspection of routine construction phases under supervision.
• Record construction data using computer programs, CAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Participate as a survey crew member and perform materials tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
