Job summary

Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. (TPD) is hiring Construction Inspectors to support highway, roadway and bridge projects across New Jersey with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA and others.

Responsibilities include observing construction to ensure plans are followed, preparing daily reports and pay estimates, and communicating with senior management to meet project goals. A B.S. in Civil Engineering or 2 years of inspection experience, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or at least 2 years of prior experience in Construction Inspection through internships or employment required.
• NICET all Levels a plus but not required.
• ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 a plus but not required.
• Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.
• Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations. Assist with progress reports and Pay Estimates.
• Communicate with the Senior Management to assist with meeting the project goals.
